Meet Josiah Reyes

Josiah Reyes is a personal trainer, martial arts instructor, and music teacher in Santa Fe, dedicated to empowering youth and adults alike. Josiah has fought professionally, earning the nickname, Silver City Strangler, and is a kick-boxing and jiu jitsu instructor at Gracie Barra Santa Fe. He studied music at Western New Mexico University and has been in many bands (reggae, rock, metal, hip-hop, and Christian) for over two decades. He currently plays drums and guitar as part of the Worship Team at HopeUC Santa Fe.

With expertise in jiu jitsu and MMA, Josiah offers tailored training sessions, fostering growth, fitness, discipline, and musical talent for all ages.

Josiah was raised in Silver City, New Mexico. He received a Bachelor's in Music and Interdisciplinary Arts from Western New Mexico University. Having spent ten years working with disadvantaged youth for a government agency, Josiah decided to bring his love of music and martial arts to those seeking growth and fitness in his new home of almost ten years, Santa Fe.

At 7,000 feet above sea level, fitness and MMA professionals visit to train at elevation to reach peak performance. For those of us who live here, we benefit year-round from the altitude.
